Natural Running Workshops by ECCO BIOM with Dr. Matthias Marquardt in Hamburg and MunichECCO invited journalists to Natural Running Workshops in Hamburg and Munich to explain the concept of Natural Motion which is the basis for BIOM. Dr. Matthias Marquardt is a sport medicine specialist and manual therapist. As well as his medical job he also works as an organizer for running courses and as a journalist. At the Natural Running Workshops he explained the idea of Natural Motion and showed the advantages of Natural Running for everyone's body.
In between the theoretical courses, the participants went outside in the park for practical training. There they learnt different exercises for healthy and stabilizing running, and of course they ran together with Dr. Marquardt in their brandnew BIOMs. All the participants were really impressed by the new running feeling of ECCO BIOM and the concept of Natural Running.

"New Running" Phenomenon Analysis amongst runners in the USA and Germany - a cooperation between ECCO BIOM and Trendbuero (Hamburg)With "New Running", ECCO and Trendbuero provide a deep insight into the multifaceted discussions of the runners community. The new semantic analysis tool InsightBench was used to evaluate more than 100,000 documents from German and American sources. Three themes set the tone: performance, health and authenticity. The study also explores what significance the theme of natural running mechanics holds for runners.
Trendbuero and ECCO conducted unprecedented research into the discussion that takes place amongst runners, thus gaining a deep understanding of what the community talks about. The analysis of this discussion resulted in a detailed grasp of runners' mindset, interests, likes and dislikes.

Can the shoe be worn by all kinds of runners (overpronation, supination, pronation)?BIOM shoes can be used by almost every runner. Only 10% of the runners - those who have a heavy pronation with an angle from about 12 degrees - should not wear the BIOM running shoe. All runners should adapt slowly to the new construction of the running shoe. The BIOM training plan, offers adequate information. Runners with strong pronation and a high body weight should proceed especially gradually and not wear the shoe too frequently.
What are the differences between the categories A, B and C?
What are the differences between the categories A, B and C?Besides the running speed, there are other criteria that can be used to divide the different categories A, B and C.
BIOM A is the shoe for the "serious runner", the professional to semi-professional runner. Who trains hard and tries to push themselves to the limit. The "serious runner" tries to find self affirmations and extremities, or self awareness whilst running.
BIOM B focuses on the "fitness runner", whose main motivation is to better their bodily condition. The "fitness runner" often trains for other sports and commonly likes to move. These runners like to have a special connection with nature.
BIOM C is the shoe for the "occasional runner", or the "opportunity runner". Most noticeable about these runners is that their wish is to better their bodily condition, fitness and a healthily way of living.

Bjarne Møller, Denmark, more than 60 km per weekRequires a long time to get used to when an over-achieving runner is to use them. But clearly the best and most free running experience I have ever had. I am still careful in order to avoid injuries/overstress.
